Why are Preachers Angry Online?

It seems as if folks online are getting angrier and angrier online, you see it on their blogs and Facebook. People venting their opinions and getting mad at folks. Of course its easy to blame others for things not going “your” way, or because others see things differently to you. Maybe folks are angry because no ones paying attention to them and they are not getting the recognition they think they deserve. Maybe they are saying too much online to the wrong people!

But what if it’s the preachers who are getting mad!

Today I left a group of preachers online because they were bad mouthing others and bragging how they threw out a guy who believed differently to them, I guess he had challenged them on what they believed! (welcome to the real world!) I dont know the gentleman in person but I had read enough to want to throw up anyway. I myself  had only been a member a few days, but I picked up their agenda pretty quick. I made my comment  “do not fear those who challenge your doctrine rather fear your inability to be Jesus to them” or words to that effect, then I left!  But this is what I saw.

It’s time to wake up, the world is rejecting the church because of the attitude of some “preachers!” One wise man once said, “Do not live with angry men lest you take on his ways.” Thats the best thing to do with an angry preacher, leave!  Don’t try to make him adjust, just go! Some think that by cutting others out from their group reveals their strength as leaders, I disagree. They may think that they are being holy by separating themselves from the brother who is different but in reality their anger is their pride at work, a troubled spirit, one that desires “recognition” and “acceptance!” I’ll pull no punches, It’s an inability to deal with people as Jesus would!

Anger is a sign that a man is spending more time in ministry than with Jesus. An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.” (prov 29:22) It’s a tell-tale sign. In the pulpit he will rave and call it “good preaching” and then tell you, that you need to spend more time with God. He’s just revealed his problem. He does not spend time with God himself! You can do one of two things,  repent for making the ministry your platform to vent your anger or get…… “angry” with me!

Paul.

wow…that’s just crazy huh? When it clearly states that we are to be at peace with each other instead of brewing up more chaos in the anger. Anger is unproductive if sin is involved in anger. The only type of anger we should have is the holy ghost anger towards injustice…not bickering amongst ourselves trying to prove who’s right and wrong with dogmatic arguements that lead people no where but round and round in circles. sometimes I think it’s great to agree that you disagree rather than pointing out how right we are about something. Heated arguments need to go in the fridge and cool off. when people learn to relax rather than fueling drama, is when we can come to terms that at peace is when we are able to reason justly and not with a hot-head.Sherline 😀

Good word. It was definitely needed to be said. Most people today only care about their opinions and will not value someone else’s. A hot head is an offended person who will continually lack the blessings. Being angry or acting out in anger is a sign of offense. These offenses open the door to satanic presence. We are supposed to be in the presence of the Lord. Thank you Paul! God bless you brother.

The Bible says, Be angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your anger. (Eph. 4:26) Else where it tells us, every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. (Rm. 14:19) Finally, the scriptures instruct us to Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14) God has related holy living to peaceful living. And while it is not always possible to live in peace with everyone, peaceful edification should be the pursuit and passion of every Christian, not summary nullification. ~ Bishop

Great piece. It’s not about what we know, or can do but its all about what God wants us do. Most preachers move by their senses.God have mercy.God bless us!

Wow. Its easy to judge but I pray for all church leaders and everybody who’s involved in ministry one way or the other. Thanks for sharing this. It’s a wake up call to all followers of Christ!
